1. Introduction

Amicorum ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address as provided by the authentication provider. You may also set a display name and upload a profile photo.

Festival and Squad Activity: We collect information needed for the features you use, including festival set bookmarks, squad memberships, invite activity, and notification preferences.

Location Information: Location sharing is optional and off by default. If you turn on "Auto share my location" or tap a manual send button, we collect your precise coordinates, location accuracy, and the time of the reading. The iOS system permission and Amicorum's sharing control are separate: granting iOS location access does not by itself turn on sharing.

RaveLog Content: If you use RaveLog, we collect the short videos you record and choose to post, together with any caption, tagged festival set, capture time, and destinations you select. Camera and microphone access is used to record a RaveLog only when you open the capture experience.

Profile and Other User Content: We collect content you choose to provide, such as your display name and profile photo.

Technical Data: We collect error reports and performance data to monitor and improve the service.

3. How We Use Information

• Providing and maintaining the service (authentication, squads, bookmarks, schedules)
• Displaying your profile information to squad members
• Showing your shared location to eligible members of your current festival squads
• Storing and displaying RaveLogs to the destinations you select
• Sending squad, festival, and RaveLog notifications according to your preferences
• Monitoring service performance and fixing errors
• Improving the app experience

4. Location Sharing

Amicorum does not provide a public map or nearby-user discovery. Your location is available only to authenticated users who are current members of the same invite-only squad linked to the applicable festival.

• Your choice: You can decline iOS location permission or leave Amicorum sharing off and continue using non-location features
• Automatic sharing: If you expressly enable it, Amicorum updates your location about every 10 minutes while the app is open and a squad's festival sharing window is active
• Manual sharing: You can send a one-time location without enabling automatic sharing
• Control: You can turn off future automatic updates and delete your current shared pin from the app
• Limited visibility: A pin is shown for no more than five hours after its most recent update and only during the festival sharing window
• Deletion: Location records are deleted from active storage after 24 hours and are deleted when you delete your account

5. RaveLog and User Content Sharing

You choose where each RaveLog is posted. A personal RaveLog is available only to you. A RaveLog posted to a squad is available to authenticated current members of that squad. RaveLogs are not placed in a public feed.

You retain ownership of your content. We use it only to operate the features you select. You can edit a RaveLog's caption or tag, remove it from a destination, or delete it from the service.

6. Information Sharing and Service Providers

We share information only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect users and the service, or at your direction.

Other Amicorum users: Current squad members may see your profile, shared schedule, squad RaveLogs, and—only when you choose to share it—your location as described above.

We use the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Firebase (Google): user authentication via Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In, and push-notification delivery
• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, and data storage
• Sentry: error tracking and performance monitoring

These services may collect standard technical data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

7. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

• Data Location: Data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure
• Security: We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption and secure authentication flows
• Retention: Account data and RaveLogs are retained while your account is active or until you delete the applicable content. Shorter location retention is described in Section 4.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete individual RaveLogs and location pins
• Withdraw location-sharing consent through Amicorum and iOS settings
• Delete your account and associated data from within the app
• Export your data upon request
• Lodge complaints with relevant supervisory authorities

9. International Users

For EU Residents (GDPR):

• You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data
• You may withdraw consent at any time
• You have the right to data portability
• You may complain to your local data protection authority

For California Residents (CCPA):

• You have the right to know what personal information is collected
• You have the right to delete personal information
• You have the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

10. Children's Privacy

Amicorum is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of any material changes through the app or via email.
